ABOUT US Because of our commmitment to pet rescue and finding homes for unwanted pets, we contribute in multiple ways. First, we donate 10% of our gross commissions to American Brittany Rescue. In addition, we have fundraising programs set up with multiple rescue groups through which we donate a set dollar amount to the group for each new customer they refer. Visit our fundraising page if you want more information on this program. We have been feeding Flint River Ranch food since April, 2000. We tried it because we wanted to feed a top quality food to our Brittany, Roman, and he did not do well (loose stools, poor coat) on many of the "premium" foods from the pet stores. Shortly after putting Roman on the Lamb and Rice formula, we were so pleased that Kathy decided to become a distributor so we could share our experiences with the many dog-lovers we knew from our involvement with American Brittany Rescue. We also wanted to educate our friends and neighbors who might not understand the importance of nutrition to their animals' health. Because of Kathy's background in biological science, understanding the details of our dogs' health was important to us, so it was not a trivial matter to find a food that we could wholeheartedly endorse for its quality and impact on their health. We adopted another brittany (Sebastian, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge 5/1/03) and later a German Shorthaired Pointer (Chena, who joined us in June 2003), whose photos you will see throughout our website. All of our dogs were adopted from rescue groups and have shown major improvements in various aspects of their health since starting on Flint River Ranch food. Roman and Chena are now both eating the Trout and Potato formula since Chena had some food sensitivities to ingredients in the other formulas. Flint River Ranch may be a bit expensive, but it is cheaper than the prescription diet the vet had her eating! In June, 2004, Greg decided to form his own distributorship and use his business background to promote Flint River Ranch in a more active way. We operate this website as partners, so if you contact one of us, you may get a response from the other, depending on our availability. We hope that this arrangement will give us greater flexibility and allow us to take even better care of our customers. Additionally, the bonus structure for Flint River Ranch distributorships will enable us to contribute even more to rescue organizations. Kathy works full time as a research scientist for a pharmaceutical company. Greg is presently working part-time and taking care of our toddler on his days off. Of course our daughter and our two dogs occupy much of our free time. We enjoy hiking, camping, and travel in addition to the time we spend volunteering for American Brittany Rescue. Roman is also a registered Therapy Dog who spent many hours visiting with families staying at Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. About the company…. Thanks to the support of dedicated customers, they are multi-million in sales dollars and continue national growth. Flint River Ranch has selected the "networking" or "sharing" approach as their way to market their products. Rather than pay the profits to the wholesaler or retailer, they prefer that the profits be paid to the people that make this business happen.
